iPod Shuffle 2G not playing songs copied to it from Linux

Even with Ubuntu 9.10 and Rhythmbox, music was unable to be played on an iPod Shuffle 2G. Rhythmbox was only copying the files directly to the iPod's root directory as if it was a normal usb music player. An easy fix was found here:

http://shuffle-db.sourceforge.net/

Copy the rebuild_db.py file to the root directory of the iPod then double click to run it from there. Or open a terminal, cd to the file, then do "?python rebuild_db.pl

If you are using this you don't even need to use Rhythmbox any more to copy files. Simply copy music files to the device and then run this script.
