Ubuntu 9.10 Network manager applet always asks for keyring password when auto logging in.

Network Manager applet was always requesting a password before it would bring up the network.

The error is something like:
The application 'NetworkManager Applet' (/usr/bin/nm-applet) wants access to the default keyring, but it is locked.

The answer was found here:

Right click the wireless applet.
Select "Edit Connections...".
Change to the "Wireless" tab.
Select your connection then press edit.
Check the "Available to all users." tickbox at the bottom.
Select "Apply..." to save.
